Reservations Now Open for Summer Tours of the Governor's Residence

ST. PAUL, MN – The 2019 summer tours at the Minnesota Governor's Residence will kick off on Wednesday, July 24th. The Residence will be open for public tours on July 24th through July 27th. Guided Tours will be offered Thursday and Friday and occur every 10 minutes between 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Reservations are required for all group sizes, with walk-ins accepted based on availability. Grounds and gardens are open to the public from 10:30am - 1:00pm on tour days. Open house tours will be offered Wednesday and Thursday evening, as well as, Saturday morning. Grounds will also be open during the open house.

During the tours, volunteer docents from the Women's Auxiliary of the Minnesota Historical Society will be on hand to answer questions in each room on the First Floor and Lower Level of the Residence. The 1006 Summit Avenue Society will also offer a selection of merchandise available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will help to support the historic Residence.

There is no fee for the tour, but visitors are encouraged to consider bringing a non-perishable food item, as the Governor's Residence is a drop site for Second Harvest Heartland.
