[ST. PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced the commencement of an application process to appoint the next Director of the Minnesota State Lottery. The current Director, Robert Doty, will be leaving the Lottery next month.

This highly visible position reports directly to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, and appears before the Minnesota Legislature in matters pertaining to the Lottery’s budget and annual plan. The successful candidate must enjoy the challenges of working in a very competitive industry, develop innovative solutions to unique business challenges, and have superior communication skills to serve as the Lottery’s primary public spokesperson.

The application process will go through the State of Minnesota’s hiring portal through Minnesota Management and Budget. The deadline to apply is by the end of the day on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
