Governor Walz, Lieutenant Governor Flanagan Announce Appointments

PAUL, MN] – Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced the following appointments to the Advisory Task Force on Waiver Reimagine, Blue Ribbon Commission on Special Education, Board of Executives for Long-Term Services and Supports, Board of School Administrators, Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board, Explore Minnesota for Business Council, Governor’s Workforce Development Board, and the Minnesota Competency Attainment Board.

The Advisory Task Force on Waiver Reimagine will conduct public meetings, gather input, and make recommendations on various aspects of the Waiver Reimagine program, such as waiver consolidation, budget methodologies, service criteria, and potential consequences of the program changes.

About the Board of School Administrators:
The board shall license school administrators. The board shall adopt rules to license school administrators under Chapter 14. Other than the rules transferred to the board under section 122A.27, subdivision 4, the board may not adopt or amend rules under this section until the rules are approved by law. The rules shall include the licensing of persons who have successfully completed alternative preparation programs under section 122A.27 or other alternative competency-based preparation programs. The board may enter into agreements with the Board of Teaching regarding multiple license matters.
