ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Tim Walz announced the reappointment of Sean M. Quinn as a Judge on the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. Judge Quinn was originally appointed to this seat by Governor Dayton in April 2018.
“I am honored to reappoint Judge Sean Quinn to the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals,” said Governor Walz. “His experience representing Minnesotans in matters of workers’ compensation, disability, and personal injury in Duluth has been reflected in his tenure on the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals, and I’m glad that necessary perspective will remain.”
The Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals is an independent agency of Minnesota’s executive branch. It reviews workers’ compensation cases decided by compensation judges at the Office of Administrative Hearings and in some cases decided by the Workers’ Compensation Division at the Department of Labor and Industry.
About Judge Quinn:
Judge Quinn graduated with a B.S. in Applied History from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 1986. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1989. From 1992 until his appointment to the court in 2018, he was a partner at the Duluth law firm of Falsani, Balmer, Peterson & Quinn, representing injured and disabled people in workers’ compensation, social security disability, long term disability, and personal injury matters.
