Length of Determination: Informal Timber Sale Permits require two days to two weeks, depending on local forester workload. All Auction permits sold through an oral or sealed bid process. Auction sales are posted at least 30 days prior to being offered for sale on the DNR’s Timber Sale Calendar. Unsold auction sales may be purchased over-the-counter for up to one year at the appraised price.
