If you are unable to apply for aquatic plant management permit online contact your Aquatic Plant Management Permitting Staff for a paper application for permit.
Permit to Transplant or Collect Aquatic Plants
Application for a Permit to Control and/or Aquatic Vegetation
If two or more treatment types are requested, only the largest fee shall apply.
Individual Property applications
Submerged, emergent or floating leaf control - $35
Duckweed - $20 per property ($200 maximum)
Snails, Filamentous Algae, Chara, or Leech control - $4 per 100 feet of shoreline, or any portion thereof. ($200 maximum fee) (Fee for 150 feet = $8)
Multiple party application
Plankton Algae $20 plus $0.40 per acre, $200 maximum fee. (Acres to be treated x $0.40) + $20 = Fee
All other types of control $35 per property (maximum fee $2,500) $35 x number of properties to be treated = Fee
Offshore Harvest of Submerged Vegetation
(Offshore >150 feet from shore)
Mechanical Control of Submerged Vegetation $35 for the first acre plus $2 each additional acre to a maximum of $2,500 (total # of acres to be harvested -1) x 2 + $35 = Fee
Aquatic Plant Control Permit fees for water-bodies that are 20 acres or less in size are one-half of the Plant Control fees described above. Individual fee on lakes 20 acres or less is $17.50 and the maximum fee for multiparty permits is $1,250.
Aquatic plant management permits expire on December 31, of the year they are issued.
