Review Industrial stormwater
Facilities are required to obtain either permit coverage or certify for No Exposure, if they can ensure that their activities and materials are always protected from precipitation. Those with outdoor activities and materials must have management practices that prevents contaminated runoff. Permittees must visually inspect their facility monthly, collect samples quarterly, submit reports, train staff, and pay fees annually.
A facility may qualify for a five-year, conditional No Exposure exclusion from the industrial stormwater general permit if it can provide storm-resistant shelter to protect all industrial materials and activities from contact with stormwater and maintain this condition of no exposure. Owners/operators of facilities required to have NPDES/SDS industrial stormwater permit coverage need to apply according to the schedule above (final phased application groups).

Step 2: Certify for no exposure
Step 3: Assess for pollutants
