Assessor Licensing
If you assist the assessor of a Minnesota taxing jurisdiction make decisions about exemptions, classifications, or valuations, you must get a Minnesota assessor’s license within three years of the date of your employment.
Requirements for each assessor's license level:

License Reinstatement
Within five years of becoming a CMA or CMAS, you must obtain an AMA license (see Assessor Accreditation Deadline)

Period of Issuance:
Assessor licenses are good for one year (July 1 - June 30). To renew your license, each year you must complete 40 to 50 hours of continuing education and pay the annual fee.
Length of Determination:
The Board of Assessors generally meets six times per year (approximately every eight weeks).
