HOW TO BECOME A CE COURSE PROVIDER
Step 1
Ensure you qualify to become a Practitioner or Instructor CE Provider. You may qualify to offer certain CE course types based on your business or institution type.
Core Course for Practitioner License Renewal
May be offered by:- Board-Licensed School of Cosmetology
- Board-Recognized Professional Association1
- Postsecondary Institution2
Professional Practice for Practitioner License Renewal
May be offered by:- Board-Licensed School of Cosmetology
- Board-Licensed Salon (must offer courses in-person)
- Board-Recognized Professional Association1
Teaching Methods for Instructor License Renewal
May be offered by:- Board-Licensed School of Cosmetology
- Board-Licensed Salon
- Board-Recognized Professional Association1
- Postsecondary Institution2
- Subject Matter Expert
Clinical Practice for Instructor License Renewal
May be offered by:- Board-Licensed School of Cosmetology

1 Must be a board-recognized professional association as organized under chapter 317A
2 Must be a postsecondary institution as defined in Section 136A.103, paragraph (a)
Step 2
Complete the application. You will receive an email with an invoice to submit to the Board office with $150 payment after your application is submitted.

Step 3
Once your complete application and payment are received, if deemed eligible, you will receive an approval email with your provider number and log-in information. Then you may log in and begin to submit courses for approval.
