Fingerprint Cards

The FD-258 card is the official fingerprint card produced and approved by the FBI. The current version of this card contains the full Privacy Act Statement, as required by the FBI. A card that is equivalent to an FD-258 card may be used if all the following apply:

• Fields for required demographic data must be on the card
• Fingerprint layout must be in the same order and in similar position on the card
• A PAS Certification Form is now a CBC requirement. This form replaces the requirement for the Privacy Act Statement on the back of the card.
