Notice of Request for Proposals for Partners in Policymaking®

The Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is pleased to announce the availability of $210,000 in federal funds under provisions of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act)(P.L. 106-402) for Replication of the Minnesota Partners in Policymaking┬« Program, Partners Graduate Workshops, and Follow Along Activities. 

Proposals are being sought from any public organization, private for profit business, or private non-profit organization that has 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.  The GCDD will make a single award of $210,000 to replicate the eight-month Partners leadership training program and carry out all related activities.  Funding is available for a one-year period.  Continuation funding is dependent upon the availability of federal funds and satisfactory performance of the contractor.

Proposal deadline is Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.  Please note:  The GCDD reserves the right to reject all proposals.

The GCDD is funded under the provisions of P.L. 106-402. The federal law also provides funding to the Minnesota Disability Law Center,the state Protection and Advocacy System, and to the Institute on Community Integration, the state University Center for Excellence. The Minnesota network of programs works to increase the IPSII of people with developmental disabilities and families into community life.
