The Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care (OOLTC) is an independent state agency that serves people needing or receiving long-term care through complaint investigation, advocacy, and education.

EMPOWER

We empower residents to self advocate and to understand their rights by working with them, their families, health care and service providers, and public agencies to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.

EDUCATE

We educate residents about their rights, by offering free services to anyone seeking information about long-term care.

ADVOCATE

We advocate for residents, to ensure needs are met and dignity upheld. The office also works to improve the health care and social services delivery systems through changes in state and federal law and policy.
