Assignment: Real-Time Captioning
Instructions:
- Use the NCRA website to search for realtime captioning service providers.
- How helpful are the service providers' websites? Do any talk about their reporters' certifications?
- Identify which providers you wish to contact, and prepare a set of questions. Examples may include:
- What are your rates?
- What do you need in order to provide live web streaming captioning services?
- What kind of quality guarantees can you provide? For example:
- What happens if the reporter loses the connection and caonnot log back on?
- If viewers are unsatisfied with the captions, do we get our money back?
- Document your research in the Video Captioning Essentials Workbook (word document).
