Assignment: Researching Resources

This course is designed to provide you with a general framework of knowledge of web-based video captioning. There are many other good supplementary resources available for your use. These assignments introduce you to several of those resources.

Instructions:

Search the WCAG 2.0 website's resources page on captioning, and browse through some of the resources. Bookmark the resources you think may be useful for your captioning projects.
DCMP's “Captioning Key” is a set of standards for vendors who provide captioning services for DCMP. All of DCMP's videos follow these guidelines. Review the Captioning Key to gain a greater understanding of the basic guides of captioning grammar, style, and related practices.
