Join the EJBC as we welcome Melanie Frank to present during Native American Month. We are excited to have her, look forward to her presentation.

Melanie Franks is a citizen of Wahta Mohawks, Canada, Minnesota, and the United States. Melanie currently serves as a tribal liaison at MDE.
During any given week you can find Melanie answering a wide ranges of questions about the tribes in Minnesota and tribal sovereignty. Because of her experience and background in government-to-government work & tribal governance, she is highly knowledgeable about the various aspects of working with tribal governments and their staff. Melanie has worked for the State of Minnesota and with the 11 Tribes in Minnesota since 2014. She earned her Masters in Tribal Administration and Governance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. When not working, Melanie enjoys spending time with family, her fur babies – Ari (Boxer dog) and Winnie & Pooh Bear (kittens), friends and traveling. Her favorite days are any days the sun is shining, especially during the spring, summer, and fall.
