The Jewish Culture and Heritage Employee Resource Group is hosting two training sessions entitled Understanding Jewish Identity and Antisemitism Today. Sami Rahamim will be the presenter.
Session Description: How do Jews understand their individual and collective identities? What is antisemitism, and how is it both similar and different from other forms of prejudice? What are the harms that Jewish people are experiencing today? How does antisemitism threaten our democracy? Explore these and other questions in a session that provides space for questions, discussion, and suggestions for how to be an ally.
Session Details: The session will be offered twice, on Wednesday 4/16 at noon and again on Tuesday 5/6 at noon. The session will be 90 minutes long.

About the Presenter: Sami Rahamim is an educator and advocate dedicated to fostering inclusivity and understanding. At JCRC, Sami directs communications, leads casework response to antisemitic incidents, and facilitates trainings on Jewish identity and antisemitism. The son of an Israeli immigrant father and an American Jewish mother, Sami was born and raised in St. Louis Park, graduated from the University of Minnesota, and lives in Minneapolis.
