The State of Minnesota’s MNclusive Employee Resource Group is hosting a Transgender Day of Remembrance event on Thursday, November 20. It will take place in the State Capitol Rotunda from 10 – 11am. The event will honor transgender Minnesotans that have been lost, lift up support for trans and queer State of Minnesota employees, and highlight Minnesota’s transgender-focused efforts and legislation.
About Transgender Day of Remembrance:
This day began as a vigil to honor the memory of a transgender woman, Rita Hester, who was killed in 1998, and all transgender people lost to violence since her death. For more information, visit glaad.org/tdor.
