Session Description: Some of the most significant holidays in Jewish culture and heritage occur in the fall and are collectively known as the High Holy Days. These holidays offer a time for reflection, renewal, and community connection, and also have implications for workplace inclusion.

 

The Jewish Culture and Heritage Employee Resource Group is pleased to invite you to a special virtual session featuring Rabbi Heather Renetzky, who will provide a brief presentation on the meaning, history, and customs surrounding the High Holy Days. This session will be especially insightful for our allies, as it will highlight how to support your colleagues who celebrate the Jewish holidays and the impacts upon workplace collaboration. This session will be helpful for anybody interested in deepening their understanding of Jewish traditions and workplace inclusion.

 

Following Rabbi Renetzky’s presentation, we will host an interactive discussion about how the High Holy Days are celebrated across different communities and personal experiences. About the Presenter: Rabbi Heather Renetzky serves as the Director of Congregational Engagement at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul, MN. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a warm, inclusive approach to sharing Jewish tradition and practice.
