The Great Matzah Ball Soup Contest
The Jewish Culture and Heritage Employee Resource Group is excited to host the first ever BEST MATZAH BALL SOUP contest. Cook your best-ever Matzah ball soup recipe and let the crowd and senior leadership decide which is best.
On April 9th from noon-1 PM, the Jewish Culture and Heritage Employee Resource Group will host our first in-person event at the Anderson Building in Room 2380. This is a room open to the public on the second floor. In addition to joining together, bring your best matzah ball soup for the contest!
What is a matzah ball soup:
It is chicken soup with dumpling made of matzah meal (or in a gluten free version from potato starch). Historically it is a dish that was served during the holiday of Passover, however with time it became a traditional Ashkenazi (eastern European) Jewish dish that is often served during shabbat dinners. If you want to read more about matzah balls:
Everyone is invited regardless if you bring soup or not.
