Event Description and Purpose:
Join the Equity Justice Black Caucus (EJBC) this Black History Month as we celebrate the profound contributions of Black thought leaders, writers, and visionaries. Our series, "Uncovering Black Genius," explores the essential roles of Black psychology, literature, activism, and speculative futures. We honor the resilience and creativity that shapes the African American experience, focusing on the transformative power of literature in social justice movements and the radical visions of Afrofuturism.
The purpose of this series is to elevate critical conversations that highlight the importance of Black thought and imagination in shaping culture, identity, and justice. We aim to amplify Black voices and perspectives in psychology, literature, activism, and speculative fiction, showcasing the resilience and creativity that continue to inspire and uplift communities.
