Greetings, EJBC Community Members!
We hope this message finds you well as summer moves into fall and we look to the weeks ahead in October and beyond.
We are excited to announce that EJBC has been given the go-ahead to resume regularly scheduled membership meetings, and that the first of those meetings will be held online on the afternoon of Thursday, October 17th, from 1:00-2:00 PM. The Teams meeting information can be found below, and you can add the meeting to your calendar using that attached .ics file as well.
For now, our plan is to use our recurring meetings to focus on our membership – the beating heart of EJBC and the reason we all hope to see our community restored to its former level of activity. Each meeting will include a specific member highlight followed by a conversation portion focusing on our members’ experiences and resources to continue championing Black voices and building equity within the State enterprise.
For this first session on October 17th, we will be highlighting EJBC ChairMoi Boudoir. Following Moi’s highlight, a discussion will be held concerning work/life balance and the importance of prioritizing our health in the face of those challenges. We sincerely look forward to seeing you on October 17th to celebrate Moi and hold a lively conversation!
The best days and times for consistent recurring meetings is still under active discussion, but we anticipate being able to share a new ongoing meeting invitation soon.
