Transgender Day of Remembrance

You are invited to join the State of Minnesota’s MNclusive Employee Resource Group (ERG) in the Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda for a Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20.
 
Speakers will include Kat Rohn (Director, OutFront MN), Emma McBride (Executive Director, Council on LBGTQIA2S+ Minnesotans), and other community members affected by violence against transgender individuals.
 
Community organizations will be present at the event to provide information and connections to resources.
 
About Transgender Day of Remembrance:
This day began as a vigil to honor the memory of a transgender woman, Rita Hester, who was killed in 1998, and all transgender people lost to violence since her death. For more information, visit glaad.org/tdor.
