Executive Director, Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas
Steve Hunegs was named Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC) in November of 2006. Previously, Steve practiced law for 16 years; first as a Minnesota assistant attorney general and then in private practice with Hunegs, LeNeave & Kvas.
During Steve’s time as Executive Director – reflecting the work of his outstanding JCRC colleagues – the JCRC has received awards from the FBI, Israel Bonds, Minnesota National Guard, Temple Israel, International Leadership Institute, Normandale Community College, Cardozo Society of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Jewish Federations, and most recently from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Hunegs received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota.
