Recently, organizations in the Anoka County area have reported an individual trying to cash in altered pull-tab tickets. In one instance, the individual cashed approximately $1,000.00 in altered tickets.

Please take the time to check ticket serial numbers prior to redemption. If an individual attempts to pass or passes altered tickets, notify both local law enforcement and the Gambling Control Board (651-539-1900).

Additional REMINDER(s) to All Organizations:

· Gambling equipment, ticket inventory and funds must be stored in a secure and locked location.

· Gambling funds should always be locked in a safe—preferably bolted down to prevent anyone from removing the entire safe.

· If your organization’s gambling operation is ever the victim of a burglary or theft, notify both local law enforcement and the Minnesota Gambling Control Board.
