Notice of Request for Proposals for Quality Improvement

The Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is pleased to announce the availability of a total of $20,000 in federal funds under provisions of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act)(P.L. 106-402) to work with the Council to understand and apply new approaches and practices of a comprehensive quality improvement framework, such as the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, or a comparable and comprehensive framework to the Council's work to better understand and meet customer needs, requirements, and expectations; assist in meeting Five Year State Plan reporting requirements and performance measures; and increase Council business results.

One award of $ 20,000 will be made. Funding is available for a one-year period at a time and up to five years. Continuation funding is dependent upon the availability of federal funds and satisfactory performance of the contractor.

Proposal deadline is March 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Please note: The GCDD reserves the right to reject all proposals.

The GCDD is funded under the provisions of P.L. 106-402. The federal law also provides funding to the Minnesota Disability Law Center, the state Protection and Advocacy System, and to the Institute on Community Integration, the state University Center for Excellence. The Minnesota network of programs works to increase the IPSII of people with developmental disabilities and families into community life.
