Notice of Request for Proposals to Strengthen Self Advocacy in Minnesota:
Anti-Bullying Campaign
The Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is pleased to announce the availability of a total of $20,000 in federal funds under provisions of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act)(P.L. 106-402) to strengthen self advocacy in Minnesota through an antibullying campaign with self advocates as trainers.
Proposals are being sought from any public or private organization or any nonprofit organization. The GCDD will award a single grant of $20,000. Proposals must address the roles and responsibilities of self advocates who would take the lead in teaching and training elementary school children about how to deal with and address bullying issues.
Funding is available for a one-year period at a time and up to five years of funding. Continuation funding is dependent upon the availability of federal funds, satisfactory performance of the contractor(s), and any changes in the DD Act resulting from Congressional action.
Application deadline is Monday, March 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Please note: The GCDD reserves the right to reject all proposals.
