The Office of Equity, Opportunity, and Accessibility in the Office of Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan is dedicated to effectively translating community priorities into systems-change by making recommendations to state leaders on budget, policy, and executive actions targeted at eliminating disparities through improved policies, programs, and service deliveries in state government.
Vision
We believe transformative relationships with government are necessary to ensure all Minnesotans thrive. We envision a future where addressing barriers, sharing timely information and tools, and putting the people first is the expectation across the state.
Mission
The Office of Equity, Opportunity, and Accessibility is responsible for connecting external community partners with state government partners for the purpose of achieving equity, opportunity, and accessibility for everyone in the state of Minnesota; and effectively translating community priorities into systems-change, making recommendations to state leaders on budget, policy, and executive actions targeted at eliminating disparities through improved policies, programs, and service deliveries in state government.
