Rice Lake Area United Way is local people helping local people. Over 40,000 people are helped by United Way agencies. That count is necessarily duplicated. The best use of a donated dollar is, in fact, to offer well-rounded services in Health, Education and Basic Needs to not only support people, but give them the tools for independence -- like job security and good health care -- that allow them to thrive. Donors, volunteers, our board of directors and community members come together to improve lives and seed programs that fill gaps. Did you know a research grant from United Way seeded the Community Action Center? That United Way helped HealthFinders grow from a basement clinic to two state-of-the art health facilities in Rice County? When you give to our United Way and its nonprofit partners you make sure families and individuals have all-around support to stand tall – just the way a stool needs three legs to stand. That’s the impact of You and United Way.
