United Way of Otter Tail and Wadena Counties is much more than a funder of programs. By supporting United Way, you enable us to fund programs that have a real and lasting impact on people’s lives.  You support our ability to convene people around a table to find solutions. You do much more than simply fund social services. You advance an agenda to take care of what matters.

Priority Areas

  • Education - Helping children achieve their potential by supporting their learning, development and sense of belonging.
  • Income - Promoting financial stability & independence to ensure that basic needs of food, housing, clothing and safety.
  • Health - Improving people's overall health, by meeting community members’ basic needs.

Dollar Statement

$3 per pay period provides a young child one full year of books through our Imagination Library Program.
$5 per pay period will purchase enough food to prepare 60 meals at a local senior dining site. 
$10 per pay period provides training for family members who are caring for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
$20 per pay period provides coordination of Kinship mentoring programs for children who are in need of a positive role model experience.  
 

Designations

United Way of Otter Tail and Wadena Counties accepts designations for affiliates and non-affiliates.  An administrative fee of 12% will be charged to non-affiliates to process their designation.
