Combined Charities provides State of Minnesota employees with an easy, convenient way to support local nonprofits through payroll deduction. Donations go to federations, which are groups of nonprofits that focus on similar issues, like health, education, housing, or advocacy. You can let the federation direct your donation where it’s needed most or, if the federation allows designations, choose a specific nonprofit within that group to support. Even $1 per pay period (just $26 a year) can make a real difference in communities across Minnesota.
While you can start a payroll deduction at any time throughout the year, the annual Combined Charities campaign runs from October 1-31. During this time, employees across the state come together to focus on giving back and making an even greater impact.
You can choose to make a recurring or one-time donation through payroll deduction. Your donation helps local nonprofits meet the needs of communities across Minnesota, whether it’s providing mental health support, meals for kids, shelter for families or safety for people escaping violence.
