Project Summary

Red Pine Wind Project, LLC, a subsidery of EDF Renewable Energy, Inc., has applied for a Large Wind Energy Conversion System (LWECS) Site Permit to construct and operate the up to 200.1 megawatt (MW) Red Pine Wind Project in Lincoln County, Minnesota.  Multiple wind turbine models are currently being considered and analyized for use at the proposed Red Pine Wind Project, and depending on the turbine model selected there will be 58 to 100 turbines constructed and operated at the Project.

The revised Site Permit Application includes project details and addresses potential resource impacts associated with the 58 to 100 wind turbines, project substation, collector lines, feeder lines, operation and maintenance facility, permanent meteorological tower, turbine access roads, staging areas, and temporary laydown areas necessary for the proposed project. The Public Hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Ivanhoe VFW Post 2980, 116 Saxon Street, Ivanhoe, Minnesota, 56142. The public is invited to attend the hearing to provide comments on the proposed Red Pine Wind Project, the Draft Site Permit conditions, and whether the Public Utilities Commission should issue a Site Permit for the proposed project.
