Project Summary

Pleasant Valley Wind, LLC has proposed to construct and operate a 301 megawatt (MW) Large Wind Energy Conversion System (LWECS) in southern Dodge and northern Mower counties in southeastern Minnesota. The project will consist of either 200 1.5 MW turbines, 188 1.5 MW turbines with Wind BOOST, or 130 2.3 MW turbines on 80 meter towers.

The proposed project is a large energy facility and requires a site permit and a Certificate of Need (CN) from the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Pleasant Valley Wind, LLC applied to the Commission for these approvals. The site permit and CN were issued to Pleasant Valley Wind, LLC on October 27, 2010.  Please see the file register below for relevant documents in the site permit process.
