Q.  What recommendations/action steps would you have for a student/employee beginning this process?

Phil, University of Minnesota Computer Accommodations Program:

1. “The student will begin by meeting with a Disability Services Student Consultant for the intake process.
2. Use the summer to learn or practice adaptive technology skills.
3. Explore the Disability Services  and other University of Minnesota Web sites. Begin the process early, the student does not want to end-up rushed and stressed, and it can take time to put accommodations in place.”
