St. Paul, Minnesota — The two Public Hearings regarding Enbridge Energy’s proposed Line 3 Replacement Project that were scheduled for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud have been cancelled. The City of St. Cloud advised the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission of logistical and safety issues related to the numerous events being held at the convention center on Thursday, which prompted the cancellation. The Commission is reviewing the options available for re-scheduling these two hearings at a later date at a location in St. Cloud.
The Public Utilities Commission, in coordination with the Office of Administrative Hearings, has held 16 hearings around the State over the last several weeks to gather public input on Enbridge’s proposal to replace its existing 282-mile, 34-inch Line 3 pipeline that runs from the North Dakota-Minnesota border to Superior, Wisconsin with a new 337-mile, 36-inch pipeline.
