Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Personal protective equipment, commonly referred to as "PPE", is equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. PPE includes items such as face masks and shields, isolation or disposable gowns, gloves, N95 respirators, and goggles or eye protection. PPE is critical to protecting patients and medical staff and preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Alice Roberts-Davis, Commissioner of the Department of Administration, is leading a state team that is collaborating with public and private sector partners to obtain and distribute PPE to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
