Job Description: The City of Springfield, MN is accepting applications for a Full-Time and PT Police Officer openings.

Minimum qualifications:  Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree in law enforcement and licensed or eligible to be licensed by the Minnesota P.O.S.T. Board.

The city has been working to update its benefits package and recently passed longevity pay for employees with 10 years of service with the city and performance pay allowing the council to approve pay up to 15% above the pay scale for those with significant, valuable, and substantial licenses, certifications, or education above the job requirements. The city offers 12 paid sick days, 12 paid holidays, and 10 vacation days after the first year of employment and covers over 80% of family health insurance and 90% of single health insurance. The city also offers a $600/year contribution to a VEBA with the city's health plan and employees are able to earn an additional $500+ to their VEBA annually by participating in wellness events.
