Hiring Executive Director

PELSB is hiring an Executive Director.

The PELSB Hiring Committee is following the process as outlined in this flowchart (with the addition of screening interviews at step 2). 

Hiring Timeline

January 26th at 5 p.m . - The Board will look at applications with names redacted.  The Board will select finalists.  This meeting will take place at the Minnesota Department of Education, CC-14. 

February 7th at 7 a.m. - The Board decided to add another finalist, Anne Soto.   

February 8th at 2 pm (Anne Soto), 3 p.m (Kevin Dahle) and 4 p.m. (Paula Foley) - Stakeholder interviews.  As part of the Executive Director hiring process, the Board will interview candidates at the Minnesota Department of Education in Conference Center A, Room 12 with questions submitted by stakeholders. The Board will select 3-5 stakeholder questions that will be asked consistently to all finalists at this time. 

Following your participation in the February 8th stakeholder interviews, you may provide feedback to the Board on any of the candidates with this Google form.  Provide this feedback by 9:00 p.m. on February 8th to provide board members time to review prior to the February 9th board meeting.

February 9th, 9:30 (Anne Soto), 10:30 (Kevin Dahle) and 11:30 a.m. (Paula Foley) - The Board will interview finalists and discusses feedback from staff and stakeholders.  The Board may make a final decision following this discussion.

The board will be meet on February 24th to determine the next steps for hiring an Executive Director.
