Jenna Covey serves as MNIT’s Deputy Commissioner. In her role, Jenna focuses on building strategies for how the state coordinates and deploys online services to Minnesotans and creates MNIT’s communications strategies. Jenna previously held the position of MNIT's Assistant Commissioner and Chief Digital Officer.
Prior to joining MNIT, Covey served as Director of New Media for Governor Mark Dayton, where she developed strategic statewide digital campaigns around the administration’s top policies. Before a career in state government, she worked in the private sector as a branding and digital strategy consultant for small businesses across Minnesota, and spent several years working in the non-profit sector on financial development and public relations. Covey received her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University.
