Providing information, education, and training to build knowledge, develop skills, and change attitudes that will lead to increased independence, productivity, self determination, integration and inclusion (IPSII) for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Voter Registration Information On-line

A web site called ELECNET provides information and links on voter registration that allows disable persons to request absentee ballots, to download and print registration forms and absentee ballots, and in some areas to register to vote online. Follow all of the links to your state, then to either Voters Registration or Secretary of State. The URL is http://www.iupui.edu/~epackard/eleclink.html.

Diana Malfa, publisher of DisabledPerson.com is keeping a running count of the disabled who have registered and is requesting an e-mail to let her know that you have registered. "It is imperative that we the disabled community register to vote and then show up on election day 2000 to have our voice heard. By doing this, it will be the beginning of disabled unity and the assurance of our rights." The email address is disabledpersons@aol.com. You can visit the site for updates under "newsbytes".
