Request Critical Care Supplies
Like the rest of the world, Minnesota is currently experiencing severe shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical care supplies. Without reliable access to this equipment, health care workers and other users of this equipment provide less effective care, are more likely to become ill themselves, and are more likely to transmit disease to others.
In the context of this emergency, the State of Minnesota is taking the following actions to obtain PPE and other critical care supplies that can be distributed to hospitals and other providers of critical services:
- Maximizing Minnesota’s allocation from federal sources, including the Strategic National Stockpile
- Encouraging and coordinating private donations directly to local partners and to the State of Minnesota, including through the issuance of Executive Order 20-16
- Working to procure additional supplies directly from suppliers
- Health care
- Emergency medical services
- Tribal health care
- State operated health care facilities
- Assisted living facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks
