MMB General Counsel and Enterprise Employment Law Counsel
Kristyn Anderson is dedicated to good government. To that end, Kristyn serves as Minnesota Management and Budget’s General Counsel, Enterprise Employment Law Counsel, and the State Ethics Officer. She provides advice and counsel on a wide variety of legal issues at MMB. She also regularly advises State agencies on compliance with ethics rules, employment laws, and data practices, and is a frequent trainer on these topics.
Prior to joining MMB in 2014, she worked at the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office for 13 years in the Civil Litigation division litigating a variety of civil cases, including employment law, data practices, and Constitutional cases. She practiced employment law for four years at the beginning of her legal career in a law firm in Minneapolis. She was a recipient of one of Minnesota Lawyer’s 2019 In-House Counsel awards in the Nonprofit or Government Organization category.
She received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota School of Law, and a Bachelors in Political Science and History from UW-Madison.
