George Shardlow

Director of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs

George Shardlow serves as Director of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs for Minnesota Management and Budget. In that capacity, he directs and coordinates the legislative agenda and public policy development efforts of the agency. George brings a decade of lobbying experience, in both the public and private sector.

George is a lifelong learner. He received a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa, and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs. He was a 2022 Aspen Ideas fellow and serves on multiple community and nonprofit boards.

George lives in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis. He spends his free time listening to history podcasts, baking sourdough bread, tending to a native pollinator garden, and going for walks along the Mississippi with his wife, Madison, daughter, Junia, and their rescue pup, Eddie.
