Lizzie McNamara

Senior Management Consultant

Lizzie McNamara joined MAD in 2019, bringing experience in program coordination and development, continuous improvement, program evaluation, and data analysis. Prior to joining MAD, Lizzie worked to increase educational equity in the public school system as an English teacher, at a college access nonprofit, and as a data scientist and evaluator with the Minneapolis Public Schools.

Consulting focus

Lizzie works on data-focused projects, including designing and administering surveys, as well as projects focused on strategic planning, community engagement, and organizational development. She loves the variety consulting offers—her day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year work is always changing.

Client and project highlights

During her time at MAD, Lizzie has worked on several different projects, including strategic planning with the Minnesota Department of Health, the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources, the Minnesota Olmstead Implementation Office, and the Office of the Ombudsman for Long-Term Care. She has also worked on projects with the HIV Supports Section and the Adult Protection Unit of the Minnesota Department of Human Services; legislative reports for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Committee and the Blind and Visually Impaired Committee in the Minnesota Department of Education; the 50th anniversary project for the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities; the evaluation of the Minnesota GreenCorps program for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; and a legislative report for the Advisory Council on Employment and Retention of Employees with Disabilities. She also helped support the continuity of state government efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lizzie enjoys writing for multiple audiences—one of her favorite projects was writing a plain language version of the Minnesota Olmstead Plan.
