Barbara Tuckner’s core practices include organization development and effectiveness, and coaching. Prior to working at MAD, Barbara was principal of her own consulting firm for 21 years where she worked with hundreds of companies and organizations based in the Twin Cities, Southeast Asia, Europe and Central America. Consulting topics included process improvement, succession planning, organization structure redesign, collaborative practices, and driving business results. She was core faculty and designer for the leadership development programs at Fair Isaac, General Mills, Target Stores, and St. Paul and Minneapolis Public Schools.
She continues to have a deep interest in supporting leaders as they navigate their industry to deliver results. Her research focus includes complex systems theory. She is particularly interested in the implications for her clients as they navigate a world that is not only rapidly changing, but also unpredictable.
Barbara served as President of the Board of Directors and member of the finance committee for Hammer Residences, a $27 million non-profit organization in Wayzata, Minnesota, that provides residential and care coordination services for adults with development disabilities. She holds a doctorate in education from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, an organization and development and human resource management certificate from Columbia University, and a Human Systems Dynamics Practitioner certificate issued by the Human Systems Dynamics Institute.
