Enterprise Guiding Principles

Guiding principles guide employee behavior. By identifying common principles most important to an organization, employees have a clear sense of workplace expectations. They also provide a powerful message to customers and stakeholders and establish expectations for employee interactions.

The anchors serve as competencies, which are tangible behaviors that connect the guiding principles to actions. Enterprise Talent Development will create tools for managers and employees to specify the competencies/behaviors to help us live up to the principles.

We make a positive impact and improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans. We create access and opportunity for all employees to do their best work and reduce and eventually eliminate barriers to workplace success.

Anchors: Impact and Equity

Inclusion creates an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and supported. An inclusive environment is where all employees can bring their full selves to work and fully engage and connect.

Anchors: Diversity, Respect, Engagement, and Support

We create and sustain environments that promote innovative thought and solutions. We seek continuous improvements to positively leverage the talents and skills of all employees in order to serve all Minnesotans at the highest level.

Anchors: Continuous Improvement, Sustainability, and Innovation

We commit to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. We are transparent and strive to build and maintain trust from those we serve.
