Hero Awards

Every year, the Combined Charities campaign is supported by volunteers working within agencies to raise awareness about the charitable giving opportunity.

The Hero Awards recognize volunteers who have shown exceptional dedication and made a meaningful impact on the annual campaign. Here’s the qualifications for someone to receive an award:

  • Exceptional Dedication. Someone who has shown outstanding commitment to the success of the campaign as a coordinator, committee member, or campaign volunteer.
  • Going Above and Beyond to Make a Meaningful Impact. Someone who has demonstrated exceptional efforts and has made a positive contribution to this year’s Combined Charities campaign.
  • Exemplary Leadership. Someone who has displayed remarkable leadership by inspiriting and motivating others, developing innovative strategies, organizing creative events, and achieving outstanding results in raising funds and increasing employee engagement.

Following the annual October campaign, state employees can nominate their colleagues using an online form.
