Babatope Adedayo became a member of the board in October 2016 and serves on the Coordinator Relations Committee. He is a Vendor Specialist with the Minnesota Department of Administration in the Office of Equity in Procurement (OEP). In this capacity, he is responsible for promoting diversity and inclusion within state government procurement by representing the program at various workshops and trade shows; providing information about Minnesota Small Business Procurement Program to interested vendors and setting the subcontracting goals on the State of Minnesota construction projects among other responsibilities.
Previous to coming to the Department of Administration, he worked with Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative as a Congregational Organizer to engage congregations throughout the metro area around ending homelessness. He also worked for the Labor Union - SEIU Health Care Minnesota, as a Home Care Organizer, working with home care workers in the twin cities metro area and around the state on the issue of unionizing.
Babatope received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership at Bethel University and a Master of Advocacy and Public Leadership at the University of Minnesota’s Duluth Campus.
