This is a reminder that utility payments are not exempt from the state’s direct pay permit. If tax is included on an invoice, the tax should be deducted from the payment to the vendor. SWIFT will calculate tax based on the Ship To address identified on the voucher and credit the appropriate liability accounts. Taxes are transferred to the Department of Revenue monthly. Exceptions to direct pay include:
