SWIFT Update September 6, 2018

Notice of Worthington .5% Local Tax Ending

Starting October 1, 2018, Worthington sales and use tax no longer applies to sales made within the city. The state sales and use tax remains unchanged at 6.875% for sales in Worthington.
SWIFT will be updated with the new tax rate for all existing Ship To addresses located in the affected cities. SWIFT will calculate the new tax rate for the Ship To addresses on purchase orders within those counties/cities created on or after October 1, 2018.
Impact on Accounts Payable: If you entered vouchers on or after the tax effective date, SWIFT will calculate the new tax rates for each county/city if the Invoice Date is on or after the tax effective date. If the Invoice Date is before the tax effective date, SWIFT will exclude the new tax rates. Please review the tax calculation carefully prior to payment on all vouchers with Ship To addresses within these jurisdictions.

Review and Update Events in SWIFT

Department of Administration’s Office of State Procurement (OSP) recommends that agencies regularly review their events in SWIFT’s Strategic Sourcing module. Make sure that your agency reviews events that are not in a status of Awarded, Cancelled or Not Awarded on a regular basis. Events in any other status need to be updated to a Valid status.
In the Event Workbench, search by Event Status. You can also set the Default Search Options to assist you to find events to review and possibly update.
The Strategic Sourcing User Guides provide information on ways to update an event such as the following topics.
  • Cancel an Event
  • Close Lines
  • Create a New Round
  • Create a New Version
  • Edit an Event
  • Modify a Bid Factor
Please contact the SWIFT Help Desk if you have questions about reviewing and updating events in SWIFT’s Strategic Sourcing module.
