These trainings and events are designed so attendees can engage with others in the field so you can develop your 2-Gen awareness, immediately bring something back to your work, and plan how to bring 2-Gen to you work more deeply.

MN 2-Gen Convening: Exploring and Learning Together

December 12, 2018
This convening event provides an engaging opportunity to learn about and share Two‐Gen/Whole Family approaches that meet the needs of children and families together. This event will provide expert presentations, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and a wealth of resources and connections.
• Cross‐program agency teams of 3 ‐ 4 people are encouraged to attend together. Teams will have time to learn and explore these approaches together, including practical action planning.
• Hosted by MN 2-Gen Policy Network, Office of Economic Opportunity, Minnesota Head Start Association, and Minnesota Community Action Agencies.

2-Gen Practitioner Meet Ups

Throughout 2018, the Future Services Institute will host half-day gatherings for practitioners delivering programs and services focused on meeting the needs of whole families and infusing the knowledge of families and communities to create a legacy of economic security from one generation to the next.

2-Gen State Agency Trainings

Throughout 2019, the Future Services Institute will conduct half-day workshops for Minnesota state employees to learn the two-generational approach lens and how to apply it to their work.

This concept is relevant regardless of which agency you are in. Each workshop begins with a site visit to a local example of multi-generational service delivery, followed by a hands-on workshop to explore how might you apply it to your own work.
